At Acoustofluidics 2025, we’re not just pushing the boundaries of science - we’re also following the great tradition of having some serious fun in a very special session: 

Join us for the Acoustofluidics Olympics, a lighthearted competition where participants can showcase their most entertaining, mind-blowing, or wonderfully chaotic but operating demonstrators. Whether your setup is elegant and precise or held together by duct tape, Blu-tak and sheer determination, there's a place for you!

Why participate?
✔ Create a new deadline for your team to work hard on a working demonstrator, after all those years of purely fundamentals research

✔ Earn eternal glory within the Acoustofluidics community
✔ Impress our prestigious (and slightly mischievous) judges
✔ Create funny stories that last for more than one night at the pub 

💡 You are keen to compete? Ok! Until 30. April 2025, just send us a title for your acoustofluidic demonstration setup to acoustofluidics2025@ifw-dresden.de. (Later on, we will ask you to provide a short abstract (max. 100 words) and a picture/illustration). If you agree, both will become part of the book of abstracts, the conference program and of the Acoustofluidics website. A 2 min presentation during the conference will make sure you leave the audience with inpatient interest to see your setup in action, finally! 

Please, don’t hesitate to let us know, if you need standard setup components, that we may be able to provide (so you don’t have to struggle with them on your flight).
